Bio
Monica Nichols, the founder and president of Pink Space Theory, a nonprofit focused on exposing, engaging, and empowering, underserved youth, especially girls, has a passion for building workforce skills through science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) learning. She has developed engaging and hands-on STEAM educational programs for over 1200+ students, families, and educators. These programs have been met with enthusiasm by both students and educators. She has managed to touch the imagination and quest for knowledge in the hearts and minds of students who otherwise would never have believed that they could qualify for STEAM careers that would bring them both personal fulfillment and monetary success.
She has over 25 years of program management and acquisition experience managing large and small information technology programs within various public sector agencies. Her professional experiences in the technology and engineering space and her educational background uniquely qualify her to create and deliver relevant and impactful STEAM programs. Her integrative and collaborative approach to STEAM education is rooted in a partnership between career professionals and educators to create a space where students (and early learners) and teachers can connect STEAM concepts to real-world application!
